The Commentator by Tegan

Good afternoon and welcome,
This is your commentator Olivia,
Welcoming you to this fight,
Between Tegan and the punch bag,
Which will begin any minute now!

And at SFK GYM…
The fight is about to begin,
Tegan starts off with a Jab Round House,
The bag goes swinging back,
Hitting her in the face!

Tegan does a Jumping Round House,
And hits her knee on the bag!
The bag swings back and knocks her to the floor,
She gets up and does her favourite combination,
Round house Jumping Round House.

The bag came flying back,
Knocking one of her teeth out!
She comes charging forward.
With a spinning round house, jab, cross, uppercut!
The back comes back with such force knocking her down!

She threw a hook,
Causing her wrist to start hurting!
Thank you for watching this fight between Tegan and the punching bag
The winner is:
The punching bag.

Food of the Gods by Tegan

When my mum asks what’s for tea I always say the same thing, “Cheese and ham pasta and garlic bread please mum.” (My favourite food.)
My starter would be, nachos and cheese because of the way the nachos crunch in your mouth as you chew and the cheese melting in your mouth.
My main meal would be cheese and ham pasta because the melted cheese always tastes so cheesy and the ham adds an extra bit which makes the pasta even more delicious. Then before the garlic bread is so crunchy and so buttery nothing else is better than this I think.
My dessert would be, my Nan's special homemade apple pie and custard because the apples are soft and easy to chew and are so juicy. The pastry of the pie is crunchy and the custard is amazing! Everything my Nan makes is homemade; it is just mouth-watering.
It is so nice you should try it you’ll like it.

Michael's Mission by Tegan

I lay there in the darkness wondering if it was all a dream about the baby. I lay thinking about what to do next. I sat up with an idea to give the man in the garage some food. I got up, but I started to fall back to sleep so I started to drift back into a nice sleep but all of a sudden I heard ‘WWWAAAHHHH’ the baby had started to cry so I sat up doing nothing I could her Dad snoring like a pig and Mum cooing and hissing to the baby to calm her down. Soon after the baby and mum fell back to sleep, and dad was still snoring like a pig. I got ready to do a mission I knew that had to be done. I wandered to the bathroom to get the aspirin.
I snatched the aspirin from the cupboard in the bathroom. Cautiously, I made my way to the old, oak staircase. I stepped on the first step and a creak bounced through the hallway I heard mum mumble, “Who is that?”
I knew I was in trouble. I whispered back, “It’s me, Michael. I’m going to get a drink.”
“Okay,” she said and went back to sleep. I got to the bottom of the stairs and a question was racing through my mind. Slowly, I reached for the keys and a torch and I unlocked the door and cold air hit my face as I opened the door.
Regretfully, I stepped into the garden and stared up into the beautiful sky filled with stars. I stepped into the wilderness and I remembered the 27 & 53 still in the bin. I went and got it and stepped back into the wilderness. Brambles and thorns tugging at my bed clothes and tearing holes during the process. I stubbed my toe on a brick and I started jumping up and down in pain; my toe started throbbing. I grabbed the cold char sui off the floor and carried on my journey to the garage.
I arrived trembling with fear in front of the bluebottle infested garage wondering if it was all a dream about the man in the garage, but I opened the door slowly and slowly stepped inside the old dark garage…

Tegan's Book review about Dog Zombies Rule by Liz Pichon

Plot
In this story a boy has been asked to look after his friends pet and he says yes. This story is about a boy who is in a band called dog Zombies rule and he look after a pet hamster called Marble. This book took 4 hours to read and is quite interesting. The book was like your normal life in a book to most young boys. The opening to the book was really dramatic, when I first opened the book I was like WOW what`s he so excited for then when I finally got into the book I understood why he was so excited.

Characters
The main character is a boy called Tom Gates he loves animals and he really wanted a pet and because his friend offered him to look after his hamster Marble he was happy. The characters are nice except for the boy called Marcus he's really annoying. I found Tom the most enjoyable one because he likes to annoy his older sister Delia and he loses control of Marble at night because he's nocturnal and he keeps Tom awake all night and he said that his face looks like a potato when he wakes up. The character didn't change as the story went on.

Comments on style
The story was written in first person the whole way through the story. The first person is important to the story because they're talking about a individual life of a specific boy. The story was good I enjoyed it I have read it four  times now. My favourite part of the story is where Tom gets woken up in he night by Marble.

General
During the story I was laughing at the parts where they was doing something silly. I would recommend this book to people because its funny. I would read the rest of the the Tom Gates books .

FEATHER ( BY TEGAN AND DARCIE)

Once there lay a dullish feather,
With a lifetime spirit,
Who would’ve thought in autumn,
You would find this very special merit.

This feather is long and thin,
With a dirty smooth texture,
It is black, white and grey,
But blacker than ever.
if you saw this you would feel sad

But you would never be mad
