Creme Egg Workers by Jack

“What is it?” asked one of the workers.
“I don’t know,” said another.
“Well whatever it is we’ve got to crack it open, boss’ orders.”
“It looks like an egg.” said another.
“What did I just say? Get back to work!” said another.
All of the workers started hacking and slicing at the egg shaped object, when, finally they got through. “Hey! Look what I found!” said one of the workers. They all looked inside the crack and saw something yellow and orange with white around it. “There’s gold and silver in that egg shaped rock! Keep going!”
All of the workers sliced at the hole, trying to get their greedy paws on some gold and silver.
When the egg finally broke, two climbed down but the last one fell in. He expected it to be a hard landing, but he just squished into the ‘gold’ and ‘silver’. “Yuck! What is this stuff?”
“It’s… Cream!”
“Really? I never would have guessed genius!” said the one in the gooey substance.

“Guys calm down, I’m pretty sure it’s still worth something.”
“This is a stupid question, but, is it edible?”
“Woah, he has a point, what if this is a rare delicacy?”
“Well there’s only one way to find out.” said the miner who was stuck in goo.

Food of the Gods by Aimee, Isabelle and Jack

Aimee
If I were to be on a desert for a long time, when I would get home, my starter would be halloumi because it is my favourite food. My main meal would be beans on toast and my dessert would be apple strudel or apple and cranberry pie. My drink would be Fanta or coke or maybe both. Usually, when I get home from school I would ask, “What is for dinner?”
I would not survive a day without proper food! It would feel like heaven eating it. I would have butterflies in my tummy. Yummy!!
The only thing I would have to eat on the island would be dead things like dead bugs and insects. The only thing I would be able to drink would be either water from a damp rock or rain water. Eww… from the ground as well. I love any type of crumble for an example apple crumble, rhubarb crumble etc.
Isabelle
Pizza makes feel happy because it reminds me of a luxurious holiday. I love pizza because when it comes of the oven it smells like heaven on tray. I could eat pizza all day! When my parent ask me what I want for tea, can you guess what I say? “PIZZA!” but they say no. my favourite pizza restaurant is pizza hut because they make all sorts of pizza.
My favourite dessert is chocolate cake because in my opinion a life without chocolate is a very boring life. I love it when chocolate cake has icing in between the sponges because the butter icing is usually sweet.
Chocolate cake and pizza are not what I have all the time. Although I do love them both so much I would never be able to eat them all the time

I have been stranded on this god-for-saken island for too long. Finally a rescue ‘copter has appeared, when they picked me up they said that I could have any food I wanted, more specifically I could have a starter the main course and a desert.
I chose for the starter, a massive bowl of chicken nuggets, a bunch of bananas chopped up in a bowl and two slices of watermelon.
For the main course I had a vegetable dinner more specifically; carrots, peas, mashed potato, sausages and stuffing all smothered in gravy.
For desert I had even more stuffing in a bowl, a massive bowl of strawberry ice-cream with strawberry sauce and two flakes.

Describing the Lost Thing by Jack

It was like any other day same gloomy street, same gloomy train same gloomy beach. I was collecting bottle tops, as always, I thought I had found one so I leaned down and picked it up it wasn’t a bottle at all. It was just a bell, but it had a string attached to it so I decided to follow it. It was weird because it followed along to a … kettle? It wasn’t doing much it was just, there really. It had a sort of look to it, like a, gloomy sad sort of look really. It also had a hatch, I opened it and peered inside, it wasn’t the brightest place, to be honest. I said, “Hello,” but there was no reply it just echoed around inside. However, there was a vibration shortly after. Tentacle like arms slowly crept out of most of the hatches and stood itself up.

The Skeleton by Jack S

Inside the dull old house, there was a family of four. Inside of their house everything was dusty because no one could be bothered to clean. The dad was flicking through the television channels he settled on a channel about squids and all types of strange creatures underwater. Surprisingly, when there was a splash of water on the screen all the dust in the house gathered into a pile on the floor.
The television had turned off when the dad looked back at it. He turned his head back to the dust only to see that it was spinning everywhere and had taken the form of a human skeleton! “What the heck?” The dad said. The skeleton turned around and asked in a stony voice “Who are you? And what are you doing in my home?”
The dad had fainted by the time the skeleton had finished. The children walked into the room to see a skeleton poking their dad. “Who are you?” The children asked “My name is … … I have no idea what my name is all I can remember is that this is my home and no one else’s.”
“Oh, well we bought this house because it was for sale … Also why are you a skeleton?”
“I also don’t know why I’m a skeleton… I think I’m dead.”
“Oh, Wait DEAD?!” The children ran into the kitchen and grabbed a frying pan and a fork. When they ran back into the living room the skeleton was gone and all the dust had come back their dad woke up and said “That was a weird dream.” The children said nothing.
