The Commentator by Samuel

Good afternoon and welcome,
This is Queen Elizabeth II your commentator,
Welcoming you to this big rival football match,
Between The Labour Party and The Conservative Party,
At 10 Downing Street,
And I must say the garden looks in superb condition.

Now Teresa May is ready to kick off for the Conservatives,
And the crowd is roaring and the ground is shaking,
May finally takes kick off.
May to Warman,
Warman to May,
But May is stopped in her tracks,
And who by?
Nicola Sturgeon!
The Scottish National Party leader,
Who has joined forces with the Labour Party.
Sturgeon the number 7 passes to Corbyn,
The number 10 pushes forward,
Labour have depth in this attack,
Now it’s with Sturgeon who beautifully skills off Johnson,
She shoots…
GOAL!
The crowd goes wild,
And Teresa May boots the ball in fury,
OH NO!
The ball has gone into Phil Hammond’s garden,
May knocks on the door,
But what’s this,
Hammond is in his football kit,
And he is slipping on his trainers,
He has the ball as well
Surely he is going to play,
He is walking out.
But what is this?
He is running to Sports Direct,
But Jeremy Corbyn catches him.
And that’s full time,
Labour 1 Conservatives nil.

I was the Queen,
And you were the viewer,
Good Night.

Hello and welcome,
My name is Ben
and I welcome you to the annual F1 racing
here in Morrisons's in Skegness.

Last time Lewis won and Ben was just a few steps behind him
so let’s see who is going to win this one today.

The racers are lining up.
They have just been in the pit stops and they are ready to go.
They're lining up at the starting line waiting for the light to go green.
GO.

And they're off!
Lewis is racing up front leaving all the others behind.
Oh no!
Ben's wheel is rolling all over the place
it looks like its going to fall off but that’s not stopping him.

He's passed granny
and grandad
and little kid
and he is storming behind Lewis.
He is only 3 aisles behind him.
No now two,
Now one
but oh no there's a disturbance in the track!
A security guard has got in his way.
He doesn’t seem happy!
If Ben can't get round him he will be out of the race.
It doesn't look good.
We may have to get Ben out of the race.
Well I guess Ben is out of the race.
Oh wait a minute Ben is getting a run up.
What is he doing?

It looks like he's ramming the security guard.
He's running up and it is working the guard has moved out the way!
And he's flying round the corner and within a few minutes he has caught up to Lewis
The finish line is a few meters away.

Its neck and neck.

Who will win?
Ben's in front,
No Lewis,
No Ben

And it’s a draw.

What an amazing race.

Lewis and Ben are walking to the podium.

Hello ladies and gentlemen
This is your host, Jack Maynard coming live from KS2 Showjumping 2018.
The first show-jumper will be Millie and Euro,
they will be performing in a couple of minutes but first lets talk about their past.
Euro is a 15.2hh stallion,
he is a cob crossed with a welsh pony.
Millie got Euro 3 years ago and they have been training ever since.
Millie has been riding for 11 years and this is the 15th time she has show-jumped.
1 year ago Millie was in a race with Euro and he threw her at the jump,
but she never gave up on him.

Now its time for the show!!

Here comes Euro!!
Millie and Euro are trotting around the arena when a pigeon flies out in front of the poor horse.
He doesn't care.
He carries on when he comes up to the jump and does it perfectly.
The next jump is coming up.
Euro leaps and Millie stays on.
The last 3 jumps are coming up and Euro comes to them in canter.
Euro jumps the first jump
but dodges the second,
will he jump the third one?
Millie starts to panic.
Euro feels her tension and does a massive leap.
Millie clings on and is half off the poor thing.
She pulls herself up and walks Euro out.

Next up is Darcie and Cherry.
Cherry is a 13.5hh mare,
Her breed is a Cob.
Darcie got Cherry 5 years ago,
Darcie has been riding for 9 years.
Cherry has had spooks in the past,
But it didn't stop Darcie from riding her.
Time for her go!!

Cherry starts to canter,
She is heading for the 2 jumps
Cherry leaps the first jump
And jumps the second,
There are 4 more jumps
She has done 2 leaps so far!
She jumps the other jump perfectly and...

DARCIE WINS!!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome to the 2018 Richmond sports day.
This is Taylor Swift and I will be commentating this eventful day.
The crowd are going wild
As the first contestants step up to the track.
First up is the sack race.
Everyone is ready to go
Except for Little Timmy who is struggling to get in his sack.
On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!
Lucy takes the lead as Johnny is jumping fiercely behind her,
with Little Timmy last because he is still trying to fit in his sack.
Soon enough, Little Timmy sets off.
A couple of steps from the start line and Little Timmy has fallen over.
Back to the other side of the field,
Lucy crosses the finish line in first place and Johnny in second.

Next up is the parents race.

The parents line up.
Lucy’s parents do some stretches.
On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!
Lucy’s parents speed off while Little Timmy’s parents are doing their laces for the 20th time.
Johnny’s parents are so close to the finish line
yet Lucy’s parents take the lead and come first.
So at the end of the day,
we have a very happy family that gained top score,
a very frustrated family that kept getting second
and a family in the first aid box as the parents hurt their ankles.

Good afternoon and welcome,

The fight is about to begin,

The bag goes swinging back,
Hitting her in the face!

Tegan does a Jumping Round House,
And hits her knee on the bag!
The bag swings back and knocks her to the floor,
She gets up and does her favourite combination,
Round house Jumping Round House.

The bag came flying back,
Knocking one of her teeth out!
She comes charging forward.
With a spinning round house, jab, cross, uppercut!
The back comes back with such force knocking her down!

She threw a hook,
Causing her wrist to start hurting!
Thank you for watching this fight between Tegan and the punching bag
The winner is:
The punching bag.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Welcome to the annual Sports Day,
Where the contestants are warming up now for the egg and spoon race.
In the line-up we have: Timmy, Lucy, Robbie and Barbara.
The headteacher is setting up the eggs and making sure they have not been tampered with.

The parents are very excited,
Lucy’s mum is holding up a banner with her child’s name on it.
She is now being told off for trash-talking Timmy, Robbie and Barbara.
Meanwhile the headteacher is counting down from three and they’re OFF!

Barbara has dropped her egg straightaway,
She does not look very happy.
She has burst into tears and is escorted off the race track.
Timmy- previously trailing behind- is gaining on Robbie.
Will Robbie run ahead?

Oh no! Robbie has dropped his egg!
While he picks it up, Timmy races past him.
It’s tense between Timmy and Lucy.
There has been well-known rivalry between them ever since Timmy broke one of Lucy’s toys.
Halfway through the race,
Timmy is slowly but surely getting nearer Lucy.

Lucy’s mum is on the track!
She is blocking Timmy!
The headteacher dives, bringing Lucy’s mum down with them.
Timmy runs past Lucy, stepping over her mum on the track.
The casualties are quickly removed by the First Aid team.

Timmy zooms straight to the finish line and he’s WON!
He walks over to the headteacher for his sticker,
But the headteacher is shouting,
Timmy is being told off for keeping his egg down with his hand!
This is truly a shocking scandal!
He is disqualified, Lucy is declared first!
Lucy’s mum is cheering from her restraints on the playground while Lucy walks to the headteacher to collect her sticker.
This glorious moment concludes this year’s (very dramatic) egg and spoon race, and what a race it has been!

This has been Clara, coming to you live from The Richmond School for Sports Day.
After a five-minute break,
We have the sack race, in which Timmy will attempt to redeem himself.
See you in five minutes.

Good afternoon and welcome back,
It’s me your commentator, Simon Cowell.
Today Nicki Minaj is going to be on her scooter,
Going around Tescos against Cardi B.

3, 2, 1 GO!
They’re off!
They go in different directions,
Cardi B in lane 13 and Nicki in lane 15

Oh but it looks like Cardi B is struggling to see,
Her hair is in the way of her face.
As this is happening
Nicki passes 3 grandmas,
But she stops.
OH NO!
Crazy Christmas shoppers are in the way
Because of this Cardi B takes the lead.

Nicki comes up with an idea to avoid the shoppers,
She ducks down?
She’s going in-between their legs.
OH! SOMEONE FALLS!
She keeps going through it though.
What’s this?
An evil grin on her face?
What is she doing?

Cardi B gets stopped.
Why it’s a… Starbucks coffee shop!
Nicki must of paid people to build that in.

Nicki is going at full speed now.
She’s looking at Cardi B,
She’s crashes into a display of chocolate!
She’s buried, invisible.
It seems to be disappearing!
She’s eating the chocolate!
What a smart, clever woman.

Oh but no she isn’t,
This slows Nicki down as he is now fat.

This seems to be affecting Cardi B,
She wants chocolate too.
But she can’t.
She can’t become any fatter after drinking all those Starbucks.

They’re both the same length away from finishing.
Who’s going to make it?
Cardi B is unlucky, her dress gets stuck in the wheels.
Nicki’s weight slows her down.
She tumbles,
OH MY GOODNESS! SHE FALLS!

Well I guess that’s it.
Back to the studio with Louie.

William and Zach’s adventure by Grace C

Willie and Zach went off in the fields and started talking about evacuees and things like that and how they want a good life when they’re older. Willie said to Zach,” I want a big house when I’m older,” and Zach agreed with Willie. Zach and Willie had loads of similarities, like they were both evacuees and how they had a rough time and that, all they did for two plus hours was chat about things and how sometimes they were different. They set off to a different tree to find shade because that day it was really hot. Zach said to Willie I’ve never had a friend before and neither did Willie. They both went back to the house that Mr Tom owned, because they were both hungry and thirsty, so they got a drink of water and something to eat. After ten minutes had passed they set off again into the fields and they carried on were they didn’t finish.
The next few hours passed, and Zach said, “Do you want to learn how to ride a bike?”
Willie was a little unsure and concerned because he thought that he would make a fool out of himself. Willie and Zach went to Mrs Fletcher’s house because Zach wanted to persuade her to letting Willie and him borrow her boy’s bikes just for a few hours. A few minutes passed, and Willie was still unsure whether to ride the bike or not, and Zach said for Willie to ride it because he said that it would be good fun. So, Zach taught Willie how to ride a bike- which would have taken a lot of time and a lot of patience
Willie managed to get the hang of riding a bike and they asked Mr Tom if they could go for a little bike ride and Mr Tom said, “That’s fine by me, as long as you two look after each other.” So off they went on their little bikes and they got to a farm field and they saw cows, horses, chickens and many more animals. They saw an aeroplane and it scared most of the animals away, Willie and Zach had to go to the places where they were and fetch all of them and put them back in the field where they belonged.
Willie and Zach were having a good chatter about all sorts of nonsense, like what breed of dog they liked and all different types and that’s what made them laugh so much. The two boys laid under the sunny tree and Zach said, “Shall we do something?”
Willie said, “I don’t mind.”
So they both got up off of the floor and got their borrowed bikes off Mrs Fletcher’s boys. Willie said, “I want a bike like this.”
Zach said, “Me too!”
They knew they couldn’t afford it, but they hoped they would get one for Christmas.

An adventure with William and Zach. by Preston

In the morning, William was woken up by Mr Tom saying, “C’mon get up you don’t want to be late for school today.” Suddenly he remembered that Zach was coming over to play, help build our Anderson shelter and go on an adventure. Willie’s room was a mess he had to clean it up but then he would be late for school, so he got ready and left to go school.
As he was going to school Willie saw his teacher Mrs Hartridge. “Morning William going to have a good day.”
“Yes Mrs, course I will why, wouldn’t I? I’m a good boy.”
“Distractions.”
Willie knew she was right, so he knew he had to try and concentrate to not get distracted in class.
“Right class settle down; today’s first lesson is English and we will be writing a letter to a friend.”
“Oh no”.
“Sorry William something to say.” Willie was scared he didn’t know what to say he couldn’t write what would he do? Willie new to tell the truth. “I can’t write.”
“What?” one child said. All the children were laughing apart from Zach.
William knew that Zach must be a perfect best friend.
“Alright class settle down class! Does anyone want to work with William?”
“I will Mrs.” said Zach softly.
“Ok, Willie is it ok to work with Zach?”
“It’s fine Mrs!” When Zach sat down Zach smiled at him and whispered
“It’s ok if you can’t write because the more you learn and practice the better you get as people say practice makes perfect.”
“You know Zach…. you’re a good friend.”
At play time Willie was sitting on a bench until a bunch of kids came over and said, “What yer reading?”
“Me?”
“Yes you, what are you reading?”
“Oh, I’m reading the bible do you want to read it with me”
(one of the kids was blowing raspberries) “No why would we do that we hate Christians?”
“Oh, you do well this is a religious school so why are you here?”
“Because there’s no other schools and my parents don’t know much, now get off our playground.”
“Why?”
“Because we said so.” Suddenly the boys started to hit, kick and punch Willie but unfortunately Zach saw it and went over there to stop it by hitting the children who were hitting Willie until the teacher came over and pulled the children off Willie, “Oh my god, Willie are you ok?.... oh god you boys are in big trouble.”

William and Zach’s adventure by Millie

“Didn’t you enjoy the picnic Will?”
“Well yeah, didn’t you?”
“Yeah.” There were a few seconds of still silence, not a word. Then Zach thought of something. “Want to hear an idea?”
“Wot is it?” William stood there impatient. “Let’s hear it then.”
“I could show you around the village?”
“How? My legs would fall off.”
“We could go get Mrs Fletcher’s boys’ bikes?”
“Alright.” William stood there with a nervous smile. The problem was he couldn’t ride a bike and was too scared to own up that he couldn’t.

They started to walk back to the village, and they soon got back. The rough stones were crunching beneath their feet. They saw Mr Tom’s house and started to walk over. “Let’s go to Mr Tom’s.”
“Why? Aren’t we going to get the bikes?”
“Yeah we’re getting the bikes, but I need to ask him if I’m allowed.”
“Be quick please?”
“I’ll try.” William started to run to Mr Tom’s and skidding around corners. He got to Mr Tom’s house and opened the door. “Mr Tom?” No reply. William started to look around the house trying to find him, and Sammy was nowhere to be seen either. “Mr Tom?” He went and looked in the back yard and found him working on the trench with Sammy by his side. “Mr Tom.” He turned around to face William and Sammy’s head poked up. “Wot you want?”
“Is it ok if me and Zach go get some bikes and look around the village?”
“As long as yer back here before it’s dark.”
“I promise.”
“Ok, and whose bikes are yer using?”
“Mrs Fletcher’s boys’.”
“Ok, but no need askin’ me, go ask er.” After hearing that William sped off to get back to Zach.

“You took your time,” said Zach with a smile.
“Yeah, sorry. I couldn’t find Mr Tom at first.”
“Well can you go on the bikes?”
“Yep.”
“Let’s go then.” William had a nervous feeling in his stomach. It wasn’t a happy nervous, but a scared nervous. It felt painful and it hurt, William put on an act for Zach though that he was ok. While William was feeling this, there was a tense silence.

At one-point Zach saw William nervous, and felt nervous for him. He didn’t know if he was sick, hurt, had a head ache, he just felt nervous for him. “Will, are you ok?”
William looked up at him. “Um, yeah, never been better.”
“Are you sure?”
There was no reply from him. William gave out a sigh. He looked at him, and started to cry. “Will? Are you ok?”
Zach stood there surprised. William sat on the floor. Zach knelt on the floor beside him. “Tell me, what’s wrong?”
“I-I didn’t wa-want you-you to know-ow.”
“Know what?”
“I-I can’t ride-ride a bike.” There was silence and only William’s crying could be heard. William wiped his eyes. He looked at Zach, and he was still surprised and in shock. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I thought it would make you sad because we couldn’t go on a bike ride. I also thought you knew…” Zach helped William up and held his shoulders. “You could of just told me.”
“I know it sounds stupid, but I was scared to.” They started to walk over to Mrs Fletcher’s house and they started to move a bit faster.

Eventually they got to Mrs Fletcher’s house and they went a knocked on the door. “Want me to ask if we can use the bikes?” Asked Zach. William gave a nod and wiped his eyes. “Hello boys, what do you want?” She said with a smile and in a cheerful voice. “Please can we borrow the bike?”
“Of course you can, just one rule.” William and Zach looked at each other. “You must bring them back before it’s dark. If you don’t you can’t use them again.”
“We’ll remember that, won’t we Will.” A polite, quite nod came from him. “Ok, just remember the rue though.” They both nodded and smiled. “They’re just around there.” And she pointed around the corner. “Thank you.” Said William. Mrs Fletcher smiled and waved goodbye. “You’re welcome.”

William and Zach got around the corner and started to choose a bike. Soon enough they both got a bike, fit for their size. “Now I just need to teach you how to ride a bike.” They walked the bikes over to an open space, and started to practice. “Remember to keep your balance!” After an hour or two of William trying to ride a bike, he finally got the hang of it and could ride a bike. “Can you turn, or steer?”  William looked confused. “No?”
“Oh. All you’ve got to do it turn the handles in the direction you want to go. Say you want to go left you turn the handles left, and if you want to go right, you turn the handles right.”
“Sounds easy.”
“It isn’t. Trust me, but you can practice.”
After ten minutes, William could turn the bike.
“I can do it Zach!”
“Yes, yes, well done.” Zach said with a chuckle. “Let’s look around then, Will”
“Yep.”

After they were done looking around, they found a bench and they sat down, leaving the bikes beside them on the floor. “I’m so tired.” William said with a yawn.
“Me too.” And Zach looked at William. “Let’s take the bikes back?”
“Sure. Would you be able to walk me back after? I’ll end up falling asleep in the middle of the path.”
“Of course I will.” They returned the bikes and Mrs Fletcher said thank you and how they returned them on time.

“Will, stop.”
“What? I’m too tired, let’s just go back.”
“No, look.”
“A man, cool. Let’s go.”
“He just looks different though.”

William and Zach – A Bike Adventure by Alexander

Tom awoke to a loud knocking at the door and, for a slight second, forgot whereabouts he was.
“Just a minute!” he shouted.
“Oh that’s quite alright!”
As Tom got up and changed into his normal daytime clothes, he heard whistling from the person on the other side of the door.
“Sorry to be rude and all, but could you stop whistling? It hurts my ears and it kind of makes this seem like a race.” Tom shouted unhappily.
The person on the other side of the door didn’t reply.
“You still there?” Tom said loudly.
Tom heard footsteps in the house and turned to see William.
“Are you okay, Tom?” William asked thoughtfully.
“Yes. Just someone at the door. I awoke to him or her knocking.” Tom replied.
“Good, good. You know, I just awoke to you shouting about and got scared just a tiny bit.
“Could you answer the door? “Tom asked.
William said nothing at all but just wandered to the door. He then proceeded to open it.
“Oh! Hi Zach.” William said.
“Hi, can you come outside and bike?”
Tom shouted from the other room, a rather loud, ‘YES!”.
“Guess so.”, said William.
With that, they both went outside to Mrs. Fletcher's house to ask if they could borrow a bike, because they actually didn’t have one, well, William didn’t anyway.
“I don’t really know how ride a bike. I hope you do.”, said William.
“Why do you think I knocked on your door?”, asked Zach.
“Hey, just saying, I don’t know how to ride a bike.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll try to teach you. You a good listener?
“I suppose so.”
“Good.”
They arrived at Mrs. Fletcher's house and asked her if they could borrow a couple of her boys bikes.
“Sure. They’ve outgrown them anyway.”, Mrs. Fletcher said.
“Oh. Well, do they use them?”, Zach asked.
“No. I told you. They’ve outgrown them.”
“Oh, I forgot. Good bikes.”
“Yes. I know. There’s plenty more bikes in the garage.”
“Right, good talk. I’ll bring them back later.”
Footsteps bounded down the stairs in the background. It was one of Mrs. Fletcher's boys. She indicated for William and Zach to, quote, ‘MOVE!’.
William and Zach did as they were told and just managed to get the back wheel out before the boy got round the corner. He was looking for his bike.
“Where is my bike?”, he asked.
“Look in the garage.”, Mrs. Fletcher said.
“I did.”
“Fine. I’ll tell you. I lent it to William.”
“William?”
He circled his hands repeatedly.
“Beech. William Beech.
He let out a blood-curdling scream.
“YOU DEVIL! NO! NO!”
